Probably should’ve posted this earlier, but it has been a busy week! (plus I admit my blogging has been quite lazy..)

Preorders started 29th November, till 12 December (me old man’s birthday tomorrow!).

Had to scour the web for a few days to finally find 5music.com.tw to pre-order my copy. I usually order off 滾石酷踢網gogo-shopping.com.tw but they were ‘out of stock’ for the pre-orders (I’m not sure how that makes sense either..) so I had to go searching for another website that would allow international pre-orders. Thankfully Five Music 五大唱片 was there to save the day(:

Put down my name for the 朋友分享版 5cd+5公仔套裝 for $79AUD ($2438TWD) + $24AUD ($760TWD) shipping/fees. It was my only choice other than yesasia, and EVERYONE knows that yesasia is always a MAJOR rip, so I think I got quite a bargain. Besides I am an avid 五迷 and proud to be(:

Now the waiting game, the release date is due to be the 16th December so hopefully my copy wont be delayed by all the Christmas post.

After pre-ordering, I got super excited and started loading my new iPhone with my Mayday music. Unfortunately my normal music library is on my iMac (which apparently is too aged to connect with the iP4s youngen.. too much of a generation gap between Tiger OS and IP 5.0.1, pfft.. one thing that I despise about half eaten apples..) so I had to pull out all ye olde compact discs and load them onto my laptop iTunes, then onto the phone.

Food that could be craved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? You just can’t go wrong with that! So I got all excited and dragged Soojin with me(: (From what I recall, she was quite full and knackered by that time of the evening, so my sincerest thanks to her for her tolerance of me and my appetite)

After a bit of a queue, we finally got a table in a small nook in the restaurant. We ordered…

Teh ‘O’ ais limau  (Ice tea with a splash of lime) and Roti Canai served with 2 curry dips and a small dolop of Sambal. (I almost missed the sambal, it looks so small on the dish!)

Winner! Soft and thinly puffed out Roti, still warm and crispy from the front kitchen where the chef’s knead, flip & flop out the Roti, then toast it in front of the hungry queuing patrons.

Chicken Satay Skewers. Nowhere near comparible to the ones I ‘inhaled’ in Singapore. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit overcooked and the sauce wasn’t as tasty as I remembered it to be in SG, but it sure looks yum in that photo ey?(:

Murtabak (chicken/lamb) (I think we had lamb, but maybe we had Chicken? Either way it was a bit too salty for our tastebuds. Filled with spicy meat, cabbage, eggs and onions.

The Roti Canai was definitely the winner, but it possibly could’ve been because it was prepared fresh? I remember liking the curry but who doesn’t? (:

Time to backtrack.. *Winds back the clock to Christmas 2010, Sydney(:* Pro: Christmas is always a great time of year, presents, good food, family, friends and most importantly, a paid holiday break! Con: Cause everyone is on that break, nothing is open! That’s the trouble with travelling during the Christmas or Easter break. It’s easy to get time off work, but difficult to travel and visit places when many places are closed. So I enjoyed the day, the traditional Aussie way(: A hot Christmas day at the beach! (Happy birthday Jebus!)

Christmas Lunch: Fush & Chups!

Starting off with some breakfast for lunch, but not quite brunch
- Eggs Benedict!
(There was no time for photo’s inbetween, we had gobbled it up too quick!)

“Supersized love“: full of love, chocolate, hazelnut, encased in two macaron snail shells P=

Crumbly outer macaron shell encasing soft chocolate crust – decorated with crunchy nuts, with a soft, silky hazelnut mousse centre. (Could be wrong with the elements, but that’s what it tasted like!)

“The E.T“: Eat with your tastebuds, not your eyes.

Dark chocolate mousse filled with salted caramel and topped with chocolate covered caramel popcorn. (There was a bit of a tackle with the popcorn, but we victored over it. The popcorn couldn’t bear to separate from eachother!)

“Epic Chocolate Cravings“: Rich chocolate with a hazelnut crust and a salted caramel bomb

Seeing as I didn’t have breaky this morning,
I would consider it my morning meal.. at lunch time.
Dessert with my breakfast at lunch: is that a bit too decadent?
According to the guys at LuxBite, no.
